RapidRidge with Ventilation incorporates all the benefits of a Dry Fixed roof, with the added bonus of ventilation. RapidRidge with Ventilation facilitates a natural cooling passive system across the whole roof to reduce heat transfer through the roof and ceiling into the living space.
RapidRidge with Ventilation is an easy and cost effective way to reduce temperature and moisture build up in the roof space. This is important not just for the structure of the roof but also for the health of the people living inside.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
RapidRidge with Ventilation consists of 4 components that work together to securely hold the ridge caps, while creating an open ridge at the highest point of the roof. The eaves vent sits on the eaves board under the last course of tiles and allows air to continually circulate up under the tiles. A UV stabilised ridge flashing is placed over the ridge, and adhered to the tiles with butyl strips. Mechanical fixings (clips) are used to securely attach the ridge tiles to the roof. This eliminates the need to use mortar for bonding. The ridge tile is fixed securely with the clips to the ridge batten, which is held in place by the batten holder.
